Installing the Hardware
Introduction
ELECTRO STATIC DISCHARGE DOES INFLICT IRREPARABLE DAMAGE TO ELECTRONICS! BEFORE INSTALLING OR
OPENING THE UNIT, THE INSTALLER HAS TO DISCHARGE HIMSELF BY TOUCHING A WELLGROUNDED OBJECT.
THIS UNIT MUST BE INSTALLED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE EMC GUIDELINES ELECTRO MAGNETIC COMPATIBILITY.
For installation, pay special attention to:
• Separate cable glands with effective IP67 (NEMA4X) seals for all wires.
• Unused cable entries: ensure that you fit IP67 (NEMA4X) plugs to maintain rating.
• A reliable ground connection for the sensor.
• An effective screened cable for the input signal, and grounding of its screen to terminal 9 (GND) or at the sensor itself,
whichever is appropriate to the application.
