Reed switch
The ER-420 is suitable for use with flowmeters which have a reed switch. To avoid pulse bounce from the reed switch, select
REED LP – low-pass filter (see "Details of Setup Functions" on page 14). Transmitter wire pairs to terminals are either green
and white or black and blue.
ER-420-DC and ER-420-AC
The following terminal connectors are available:

Voltage selection sensor supply
With the ER-420-DC and ER-420-AC, a real power supply for the sensor is available. The flowmeter can be powered with
8.2 to 12 or 24 V DC. Total power consumption: max. 400 mA@24V. The voltage is selected with the three switches inside
the enclosure.
BE SURE THAT ALL THE LEADS TO THE TERMINALS ARE DISCONNECTED FROM THE UNIT WHEN THE INTERNAL PLASTIC
PROTECTION COVER HAS BEEN REMOVED !
HIGH VOLTAGE 400V !! NEVER CONNECT THE MAIN POWER SUPPLY TO THE UNIT WHEN THE PLASTIC PROTECTION
COVER HAS BEEN REMOVED !!!
FIRST, REMOVE THE TERMINAL STRIP(S) AFTER WHICH THE INTERNAL PLASTIC COVER CAN BE REMOVED. THE SWITCHES
ARE LOCATED ON THE RIGHT HAND (TYPE PF / PM) AS INDICATED:
