THE WATER SYSTEM
WATER SYSTEMS:
WITH AN ON-BOARD WATER TANK
WATER SUPPLY
Various models are supplied with an on-board
water tank and inbuilt submersible pump as
well as an external 12v submersible pump
controlled by a pressure switch. The external
pump can be used to supply water directly to
the caravan from an outside water supply or
it can be used to fill the on-board tank In the
same way as described in the previous chapter.
FILLING THE ON-BOARD TANK
1. Complete steps 1-7 on the previous pages.
2. Switch off the 12v supply for the on-board
pump at the main control panel.
3. Locate the 2-way valve in one of the front
bunks. See below.
4. Turn the 2-way valve to the open position
shown below.
5. Switch on the 12v supply for the external
pump at the main control panel (EXT).
This will fill the on-board tank.
6. When the water runs from the overflow
pipe below the caravan, switch off the 12v
supply for the external pump at the main
control panel.
7. Return the 2-way valve in the front bunk
to the closed position shown below.
INTERNAL SUPPLY
1. Open one cold tap (e.g. at the kitchen
sink).
2. Locate the 2-way valve in the front bunk.
3. Ensure the 2-way valve is set to the closed
position shown below.
4. Switch on the 12v supply for the on-
board (INT) pump at the main control
panel. Water will flow from the open tap
expelling any trapped air in a few seconds.
5. Turn off the tap, the system is now ready
for use.
Do not run pump without water or
use the pump in water temperatures
above 40°C (100°F)
The pressure switch is sensitive to drops in
battery voltage. As the voltage falls, should
the switch need adjustment, turn it anti-
clockwise. Rotary switch shown below.
