3. Remove the tubes connected to the side of the filter head (1).
4. Unscrew and remove the filter head.
5. Unscrew the sintered metal filter (2) from the filter head.
6. Remove the center screw (3) to remove the sintered metal filter.
7. Clean the sintered metal filter using hot soapy water. Blow dry with compressed air.
8. After cleaning the element, record the number of operating hours to ensure exact attention to the
maintenance intervals.
9. Lubricate the threads and O-rings as well as the threaded part of the sintered metal filter with petro-
leum jelly. Apply sparingly.
10. Dry the inside of the filter housing with a clean cloth and check for corrosion before reinstalling the
sintered metal filter.
11. In the event you discover corrosion, replace the corroded parts with new BAUER parts.
