NOTICE: If cause of obstruction is unknown, use Boring Bulb Cutter to explore
obstruction and, if possible, retrieve a piece to inspect. Once cause of obstruction is
known, select appropriate tool for the job. Run the smallest available tool through blockage
to allow backed up water to flow and carry away debris as drain is cleaned.
Once drain is flowing, more appropriate tools can be used on remaining blockage.
Keep in mind that the largest tool used should be no bigger than drain’s inside diameter, minus an inch.
Properly used, Drain Cleaners and Accessories will not damage a drain in good condition and properly
designed, constructed, and maintained. If Drain is in poor condition or not properly designed, drain
cleaning work may damage drain. If possible, visually inspect drain’s quality before operation.
