Using your Baumatic Rangehood

Preparation Before First Use

Clean all stainless steel areas with a suitable cleaner and polish before initial operation.

Operating the Rangehood Controls

Control panel features ON/OFF, speed selection, and light controls. Ensure proper installation before operating.

Cleaning and Maintenance

General Cleaning Procedures

Use mild liquid detergent and a damp cloth for external parts and control panel. Avoid abrasive cleaners.

Grease Filter Maintenance

Filters absorb grease and can become flammable. Clean regularly with hot water and detergent. Do not wash in a dishwasher.

Removing and Cleaning Grease Filters

Detach filters by handle, soak in hot water and detergent, rinse, and air dry completely before refitting.

Changing the Light Bulb

Disconnect power, allow bulb to cool, remove grease filter, disconnect wiring, and replace the entire bulb/holder/wiring unit.

Fitting Carbon Filters for Recirculation

For recirculation mode, fit carbon filters to the motor. Replace every 3-6 months or if damaged.
