If you are enabling Port ID Echo, choose #2
to echo the module and port number,
followed by <cr>. Choose #3 to echo the
device name, followed by <cr>. The DS71 or
DS71-MD2 module stores the selected
Connect Port ID Echo in non-volatile
memory and returns to the configuration
menu.
NOTE: If you choose #3, “Use Device Name,” the programmed
Port Device Name for the selected DS74 is used.
LOGIN SETUP This configures how the host modem
responds upon login. You can
Enable/Disable the Header and Menu and/or
Enable/Disable/Program Password and Auto
Connect Port.
From the configuration menu, select #8,
“Login Setup,” followed by <cr>. The
following menu appears:
Header....…....................... 1
Password..…..................... 2
Menu...........…................... 3
Auto Connect…................ 4
Exit...................…............. X, CR
Header If enabled, the following header appears with
the main menu upon initiation of power or
after a modem connection to the host module
has been established. If disabled, the header
does not appear with the main menu. Default
Header is enabled.
