Gas Grill Troubleshooting
Problem Possible Cause Prevention/Cure
Burner will not light using Wires/or electrode covered Clean wire and /or electrode.
knobs with cooking residue. with rubbing alcohol
Electrode and burners are wet. Wipe dry with cloth.
Electrode cracked or Replace electrode
broken – sparks at crack.
Wire loose or disconnected Reconnect wire or replace electrode/wire assembly.
Burner will not light with No gas flow Check if propane tank is empty. If propane tank
match is not empty, refer to “Sudden drop in gas flow (reduced flame height) If empty, replace or refill.
Coupling nut and regulator not Turn the coupling nut about one-half fully connected
connected. to three quarters additional turn until solid stop.
Tighten by hand only- do not use tools.
