Turn on and charge your Beats Flex
The power button is on the right control module. Press and hold the button for 1 second to turn
your earphones on or off.
To charge, plug your earphones into a power source using the included USB-C cable. Your
earphones provide up to 12 hours of playback from a full charge.
When your earphones are turned on and set up, the LED indicator light on the power button
shows how much listening time is left:
White: more than an hour left
Red: less than an hour left
Blinking red: needs to charge

Function Description

The Beats Flex are wireless earphones designed for audio playback and communication. They connect to various devices via Bluetooth, allowing users to listen to music, podcasts, and other audio content, as well as make and receive phone calls. The earphones feature a neckband design with control modules on the left and right sides, providing easy access to various functions. The right control module houses the power button, while the left control module contains buttons for audio playback, volume control, and call management. The earphones are equipped with an LED indicator light that provides information about their status, such as battery level and discoverability. They are designed for portability and convenience, offering a seamless audio experience for users on the go.

Usage Features

Turning On and Charging:

To turn the Beats Flex earphones on or off, press and hold the power button on the right control module for 1 second. For charging, connect the earphones to a power source using the included USB-C cable. A full charge provides up to 12 hours of playback time. The LED indicator light on the power button displays the remaining listening time:

  • White: More than an hour left.
  • Red: Less than an hour left.
  • Blinking red: Needs to charge.

Pairing with Devices:

The Beats Flex earphones can be paired with iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Mac, Android devices, or other Bluetooth-enabled devices.

  • Pairing with iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch:

    1. Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your iOS device.
    2. Hold the earphones next to your unlocked iOS device.
    3. Press and hold the power button on the earphones until the indicator light flashes, making them discoverable.
    4. Follow the on-screen instructions on your iOS device.
  • Pairing with a Mac, Android device, or another device:

    1. Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your Mac, Android, or other device.
    2. Hold the earphones next to your unlocked device.
    3. Press and hold the power button on the earphones until the indicator light flashes, making them discoverable.
    4. On a Mac, navigate to Apple menu > System Preferences > Bluetooth. On Android or other devices, access the Bluetooth menu.
    5. Select your Beats Flex earphones from the list of discovered Bluetooth devices. For Android users, the Beats app can also be used for connection.

Controlling Music Playback:

The center button on the left control module manages audio playback:

  • Press once: Play or pause audio.
  • Press twice: Skip to the next track.
  • Press three times: Skip backward.
  • Press twice and hold on the second press: Scan forward through a track.
  • Press three times and hold on the third press: Scan backward through a track. Audio can also be paused by clipping the earphones together and resumed by unclipping them.

Changing Volume:

The volume buttons on the left control module control playback volume. For call volume, use the volume controls on your phone.

  • Press and release the volume up button, or press and hold: Increase volume continuously.
  • Press and release the volume down button, or press and hold: Decrease volume continuously.

Answering Calls:

The center button on the left control module is used for phone call management:

  • Press once: Answer or end a call.
  • Press once to answer a second incoming call and put the first call on hold: Switches between active calls.
  • Press and hold for about a second: Reject an incoming call.
  • Press twice: Stop listening through earphones and send the call to your phone.

Activating Voice Assistant (Siri/Other):

  • To activate Siri: Press and hold the center button on the left control module until you hear a chime, then speak your command.
  • To activate voice assistance for other devices: Press and hold the center button on the left control module. Siri features may vary by country or region.

Maintenance Features

Resetting Your Beats Flex:

If you encounter issues or wish to reconfigure your earphones, you can perform a reset:

  1. Press and hold both the power button and the volume down button simultaneously for 15 seconds.
  2. Release the buttons when the LED indicator light flashes. After the reset, your earphones will be ready to be set up with your devices again.
