Why is oil not igniting in my Beckett Burner?

  If the Beckett Burner motor, drive coupling, and oil pump are operating, and oil is flowing to the nozzle through the solenoid valve, but the oil is not igniting, consider these possibilities: * Inspect the air shutter adjustment. If it's open too far, the airflow might prevent the arc from reaching the oil spray. Adjust the air shutter. * Check the battery and charging system to ensure a continuous supply of 11 to 16 volts DC (15 amps). * Check the electrodes for wear and damage, and make sure they are properly adjusted.
