DISASSEMBLY
The
following
procedure
will
permit rapid
disassembly
of
the
regulator unit without
damage to
the unit
or
its components.
No
special
tools are required,
a)
Using
Phillips screwdriver on
screw
heads in
regulator upper
housing
(See
Figure 4-3), disengage
four screws
from
regulator
lower
housing.
Do
not remove
screws.
b) Place regulator
on a
hard
surface
with screw heads
down,
making
sure
that
screws do not fall out,
c) Press
down
on
flanges
of upper
housing,
until the upper and
lower
housings
begin
to
separate,
d) Turn regulator
over
so
that
lower housing (finned
surface)
is
down, and slowly
remove
upper housing, being
careful
not
to
lose the
connector
upper
mounting
gasket.
e)
Remove
the four
screws completely,
being
careful not to lose
the
lock
washers.
f)
Carefully
lift the
printed
circuit
board from
the
four white
plastic spacers, being
careful not to pull
the wiring
loose.
NOTE:
The
wiring
is sufficiently
long
to
allow
the board
to
be placed, with
components up, beside
the
remainder of the
unit.
