ADJUSTMENTON THE BENCH
Bench
testing and
adjustment
of
the voltage
regulator
is to be
preferred
for the
following
reasons:
(a) The method will be
safe
in
terms
of
the
possibility of
damage
to
aircraft equipment.
(b)
Any adjustment
properly
performed
on
the
bench will be
valid
regardless
of
the specified
alternator
combination
used.
This is
true because
the
regulator
is a
voltage
sensing device, any
voltage
adjustments
performed
on the bench will be
valid
in
the aircraft.
