INSTALLATION
The
Model
20138 voltage
regulator can
be installed in any
convenient location
in the aircraft,
provided
the
ambient
temperature
is
within
the
limits
specified in paragraph
2-2.
The regulator may be
mounted in
any
position
However,
the preferred arrangement would
locate
the
regulator
in a vertical position,
(with
the heat sink fins running
vertically).
This
arrangement
will allow
maximum
heat
sink
efficiency.
No shock
mounts
are
required, the unit should be bolted
or
screwed in
place,
using
the three
mounting holes.
(See
Figure
1-1).
When
choosing
a suitable
mounting
position, care should be taken
to
allow
sufficient
clearance
for
easy
access to the two
adjustment
hole
plugs located on
the heat
sink
body.
Electrical
Connections.
The
Model
20138
has a
ten
pin
Bendix
connector,
type
MS3102A-18-lP.
The
correct mating connector
will
be a
type
MS3106A-18-lS,
or equivilent. Figure
2-2
shows
typical connections.
