5.0 Carrying out Current Measurements
5.1 Current Measurement by means of the Closed Current
Converter
Set measurement function selection switch to position . This
switch position can only be measured with the closed current con-
verter.
Open the current clamp by pressing the clamp opening lever (2)
and surround the live conductor.
Please make sure that the clamp completely surrounds the con-
ductor and that no air gap is present.
Read the measurement value displayed on the screen.
Automatically, the most appropriate measurement range is selected.
If the display is not visible during the measurement, freeze the me-
asurement data by pressing the key "Data-Hold" (3). Then remove
the clamp from UUT and read the measurement value displayed on
the screen.
5.2 Current Measurement by means of open Current
Converter
Set measurement function selection switch to position . This
switch position can only be measured with open current conver-
ter.
Set the conductor type selection switch to the type of conductor
to be measured.
