Overview

This document is a user manual for a Beko Washing Machine, model WTL 70019 G. It provides essential information for safe operation, installation, usage, and maintenance of the appliance.

Function Description

The Beko Washing Machine is designed for domestic use, specifically for washing and rinsing laundry. It offers various wash programmes tailored to different fabric types, soil levels, and water temperatures. The machine features a control panel with buttons for power, start/pause, air turbo, auxiliary functions, water level, delayed start time, and programme selection. An LED display shows remaining time, delayed start time, or error codes.

Key functions include:

  • Main Programmes:
    • Auto: Automatically selects the best water level and wash course based on laundry amount, suitable for cotton and blended items.
    • Delicate: For machine-washable delicate items (cotton, blended, wool) like sweaters. Hot water and soaking are not available.
    • Blanket: For bulky items such as blankets and bed sheets.
    • Eco: For small quantities of lightly soiled laundry, using minimum water and shorter time.
    • Normal: For full capacity loads of normally soiled durable cotton and blended clothes.
    • Quick: For full capacity loads of lightly/daily soiled durable cotton and blended clothes.
    • Tub Clean: A programme for sanitizing and cleaning the machine itself, recommended monthly, to be run empty.
    • Heavy: For full capacity loads of heavily soiled durable cotton and blended clothes, with automatic soaking and hot water functions.
  • Auxiliary Functions:
    • Wash: A basic wash cycle.
    • Soaking: Recommended for heavily soiled items, allowing detergent to penetrate. Not available in Eco, Fuzzy, Tub Clean, and Wool programmes.
    • Rinse: For rinsing or starching laundry separately.
    • Spin: An additional spin cycle or to drain water from the machine.
    • Air Turbo: Speeds up drying, selectable if a spin cycle is set.
  • Child Lock: A safety feature to prevent accidental operation by children. Activated by pressing "Water level" and "Function" buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds.
  • Delayed Start Time: Allows setting a delay for the programme start, up to 18 hours.
  • Water Level Selection: Automatically adjusted, but can be manually selected (Low/2/3/4/5/6/7/8) before or during a programme.
  • Rinse Hold: Keeps laundry submerged in water after the last rinse, preventing wrinkles. The machine pauses, and water needs to be drained manually by pressing the start/pause button to continue spinning.

Usage Features

  • Laundry Sorting: Sort laundry by fabric type, colour, soil level, and recommended water temperature, following garment tags.
  • Laundry Preparation: Remove metal attachments, empty pockets, place small items in laundry bags, and fasten zippers. Shake off excessive dust/powder from heavily soiled items.
  • Load Capacity: Do not overload the machine; refer to the "Programme and consumption table" for recommended capacities to ensure optimal washing performance and prevent noise/vibration.
  • Detergent and Softener Usage: Use detergents, softeners, and supplements suitable for automatic washing machines. Detergent amount depends on laundry amount, soil level, and water hardness. The machine has a detergent drawer, which can be an advanced type with compartments for main wash, softener, and bleach, or a simple type with one compartment for main wash. Liquid detergent is not recommended with Delayed Start. Gel/tablet detergents can be placed in the main wash compartment or directly in the drum. Bleaching agents should be added to a dedicated compartment and not mixed with detergent.
  • Energy Saving: Operate at the highest capacity allowed, follow detergent instructions, use warm/cold water for lightly soiled laundry, and select faster programmes for small loads. Avoid soaking for lightly soiled items. Choose longer spin times if using a dryer.
  • Installation: Requires a rigid, flat, and level surface, at least 1 cm away from other furniture. Electrical connection must be to a grounded outlet with a 6 A fuse. Water supply hoses (red for hot, blue for cold) must be connected correctly and tightened by hand. Drain hose must be securely connected to a wastewater drain or washbasin. The manual also describes how to install a rat guard.

Maintenance Features

  • Detergent Drawer Cleaning: Clean regularly (every 4-5 washing cycles) to prevent powder accumulation. The drawer can be pulled out, turned upwards, and removed for cleaning with water.
  • Body and Control Panel Cleaning: Wipe with soapy water or mild gel detergents and a soft, damp cloth.
  • Water Intake Filters Cleaning: Filters at the end of water intake valves and hoses should be cleaned when dirty. This involves closing taps, removing hose nuts, and cleaning the filters with a brush or pliers under running water.
  • Draining Remaining Water and Cleaning Pump Filter: If the machine fails to drain, the pump filter may be clogged. It should be cleaned every 3 months or when clogged. This involves unplugging the machine, opening the filter cap, draining water into a container, loosening and removing the filter, cleaning residues, and then reinstalling.
  • Fuzz Collector Cleaning: The fuzz collector needs to be pushed out, opened, cleaned, and then reassembled in its original position.
