Before you call. .
Problem? Advice
T
he ignition won’t work.
(Gas and dual fuel models)
# Check there is a spark when the
i
gnition button is depressed. If
there is no spark, check the
electricity supply is switched on at
the socket.
# Check that the gas supply is
switched on.
# Try another appliance in the
socket, if that works replace the 3
amp fuse in the cooker plug.
There’s condensation on the
doors.
Condensation is caused by hot,
moist air me eting a cooler surface
(i.e. the oven door). You cannot
always prevent it, but you can
minimise it when it happens by
doing the following:
# Pre-heat the oven at a high
temperature before putting f ood in
the oven, and cover the food you
are cooking w hereve r possible.
# Whenever you can, cook wet
foods at higher temperatures.
# Don’t leave food in the oven to
cool down.
Automatic cooking will normally
produce condensation when the
oven is c ooling down with food
inside.
There’s been a power failure
and the oven won’t work.
(models with clocks and
automatic programmers)
# Switch off the ele ctr icity supply.
# When the power returns - re-set
the programmer/Clock to the
correct time of day.
This will allow you to use your
appliance.
