Overview

The BENNETT READ FORCE 8 is a compact cylinder vacuum cleaner designed for household use, offering a powerful and elegant cleaning system. It is engineered to incorporate the latest technological advances in home cleaning, ensuring efficient and thorough cleaning of various surfaces.

Function Description:

The FORCE 8 vacuum is primarily designed for vacuuming carpets, rugs, and bare floors. It also functions as an above-floor vacuum cleaner when utilizing its specialized tools. The vacuum uses a powerful suction system to collect dirt and debris into a dirt container, which can be easily emptied. It features an automatic cord rewind system for convenient storage and a power button for simple operation. The air flow regulator allows users to adjust suction power, making it suitable for both heavy-duty cleaning and delicate fabrics.

Important Technical Specifications:

  • Model: EV-505-S16
  • Power Supply: 220-240V, 50/60Hz (as indicated on the rating label)
  • Guarantee: 12-month guarantee by Tevo against manufacturing defects.
  • Filtration System: Includes a dirt container filter and a post-motor filter to return cleaner air into the room.
  • Dirt Container Capacity: Designed to be emptied when the dirt reaches the "FULL" line.

Usage Features:

  • Multi-surface Floor Nozzle (1): Equipped with a brush switch (2) to adjust for different floor types. Pushing the switch to the carpet position (—) retracts the brushes for carpets and rugs, while pushing it to the bare floor position (….) extends the brushes for bare floors. The swivel head allows for easy maneuverability in tight spaces and under furniture.
  • Extension Wands (3): Two extension wands can be attached together to extend reach.
  • Hose (9) and Handle (8): The hose connects to the vacuum's suction inlet (13) via a hose connector (12). The handle provides a comfortable grip.
  • Tool Clip Holder (4): Provides convenient storage for the crevice tool and dusting brush on the extension wand.
  • Special Tools:
    • Dusting Brush (5): Ideal for cleaning curtains, draperies, cushions, and fabrics.
    • Crevice Tool (6): Designed for cleaning narrow spaces.
  • Air Flow Regulator (7): Located on the handle, this regulator can be slid down to an open position to reduce suction power for delicate fabrics, or slid up to a closed position for full suction power.
  • Carry Handle (10): For easy portability of the vacuum cleaner.
  • Power Button (14): Turns the vacuum ON or OFF with a light press.
  • Auto-Cord Rewind Button (18): Automatically rewinds the power cord (21) when pressed after cleaning.
  • Floor Nozzle Storage Slot (20): A clip on the back of the floor nozzle can be inserted into this slot on the rear of the vacuum for compact storage.
  • Power Cord (21): Located at the rear of the vacuum, with a yellow line indicating the safe pulling limit and a red line indicating the end of the usable cord.

Maintenance Features:

  • Emptying the Dirt Container (16): The dirt container should be emptied as soon as the dirt reaches the "FULL" line. It is removed by pressing the dirt container release button (11) under the carry handle. Two methods are provided for emptying: directly into a rubbish bin or into a plastic bag for allergy sufferers.
  • Cleaning the Dirt Container Filter (15): The dirt container filter screen (1) and dirt container filter (2) are crucial for peak performance. They can be unlocked by turning anticlockwise, separated from the filter frame base, and hand-washed in cold water with a mild detergent. They must be air-dried thoroughly before reassembly.
  • Cleaning the Post-Motor Filter (19): The post-motor filter (3) assists in filtering air. It is located at the back of the vacuum, removed by pressing down on a tab, and can be separated from its frame. It can be hand-washed in cold water with a mild detergent and must be air-dried thoroughly before being placed back into the vacuum.
  • Clearing Blockages: Instructions are provided for clearing blockages from the dirt container, suction inlet, tools, hose, and extension wands. Regular checks for blockages in the hose and tools are recommended.
  • Filter Replacement: Filters should be checked often and cleaned or replaced regularly for maximum cleaning performance. Replacement parts, including the dirt container filter screen (ZHVC119CO1), dirt container filter (HVC119CO2), post-motor filter (ZHVC119CO3), floor nozzle (ZHVC119CO4), hose with handle (ZHVC119CO5), extension wands (2) (ZHVC119CO6), tool clip holder (ZHVC119CO7), crevice tool (ZHVC119CO8), and dusting brush (ZHVC119CO9), are available for purchase.
