Chapter 5: Use
Section 4 Cutting height control.
The cutting height control (17). Turning
the control one way or the other, the
blade roller goes up or down. If the
cutting height is too low, the following
negative effects could occur:
If the cutting height is set too low you
may experience the following effects:
- outward projection of foreign
bodies like stones etc.
- building up of soil and mud inside
the rotor protection carter. As a
consequence, cut grass can not
be fed through regularly.
- quick wearing down of the blades
and the possibility of them
breaking.
The front protection (Fig. 5.14) opens
and closes in function of the volume of
the grass to be cut.

STOP :
You should NEVER use the machine
with the protection cover left open.
This could cause projection of
objects. The protection can be fixed
in the open position only during the
substitution of the knives with the
engine completely switched off.

When the blade rotor is working,
please always make sure that there
is nobody near the blade rotor (Fig.
5.15).
