•
A
void any mechanical restriction, compression or
bending of the cu.
•
D
o not allow sustained pressure in the cu or
frequent measurements. The resulting restriction of
the blood flow may cause injury.
•
M
ake sure the cu is not placed on the wrist of
an arm where the arteries or veins are undergoing
medical treatment, e.g. intravascular access or
intravascular or therapy, or an arteriovenous (AV)
shunt.
•
C
onsult your physician if you have any doubt using
the blood pressure monitor simultaneously with
other monitoring medical equipments on the same
limb.
CAUTION – To reduce the risk of personal
injury or product/ property damage:
• For consistency, always measure your blood
pressure at the same time each day.
•
T
he device is not intended for use on neonates,
children or pregnant women. (Clinical testing has
not been conducted on neonates, children or
pregnant women.)
•
B
efore each measurement, relax for about five
minutes.
•
W
hen performing multiple measurements on
an individual, wait one minute between each
measurement.
•
D
o not take a measurement within 30 minutes of
eating, drinking, smoking or exercising.
•
R
epeat the measurement if you are unsure of the
results.
•
I
n the case of restricted circulation on the arm
as a result of chronic or acute vascular diseases
(including vascular constriction), the accuracy of
the wrist measurement is limited. In this case you
should use an upper arm blood pressure monitor
instead
•
D
o not place the cu over wounds as this may
cause further injury.
•
R
emove any kind of wrist jewelry or the like before
taking a measurement. This could cause bruises.
•
D
o not place the cu over heavy clothing
(e.g. a jacket or sweater sleeve) as the blood
pressure monitor will not be able to take a proper
measurement and there is an elevated danger
of acquiring hematoma or skin marks during the
course of the measurement.
•
I
n case the cu does not stop inflating, interrupt the
measurement by pressing the start/stop button and
open the cu at once.
