Overview

The BioChef Aurora Vacuum Blender is a versatile kitchen appliance designed for both hot and cold food and drink preparation, featuring vacuum blending capabilities to enhance nutrient preservation and freshness.

Function Description:

The blender offers 10 preset programs, categorized for hot and cold preparations, as well as a dedicated vacuum blending mode.

  • Hot Programs (Glass Jug only): These programs, activated by turning the control knob counterclockwise, include Soy Milk, Soup, Grain, Congee, and Chunky Soup. They utilize a 1,000W high-performance motor and a heating element in the base of the glass jug to heat ingredients up to 100°C. The heating function allows for slow heating (e.g., Soy Milk to 95°C) or rapid heating (e.g., Soup to 100°C), with integrated blending bursts at various intervals to ensure smooth consistency.
  • Cold Programs (Glass or Vacuum Jug): Activated by turning the control knob clockwise, these programs include Juice, Smoothie, Shake, Nut Milk, and Grind. They leverage the powerful motor for efficient blending, crushing, and grinding of ingredients.
  • Vacuum Blending Programs (Vacuum Jug only): The "Vacuum Blend" function removes excess air from the jug before blending, which is stated to reduce oxidation, protect oxygen-sensitive enzymes, and result in a finer, creamier texture with vibrant colors and intense flavors. This process also minimizes air bubbles, leading to a smoother consistency, unsurpassed freshness, and longer-lasting results. The "Vacuum" function can also be used independently to preserve food by removing air from the jug.
  • Pulse/Clean Function: This function operates at maximum speed and can be used with both glass and vacuum jugs for quick cleaning or initial grinding of hard ingredients like ice cubes.

Important Technical Specifications:

  • Power: 1,000W High-Performance Motor.
  • Jug Capacity: The blender comes with two 1.7-liter jugs: one Borosilicate Glass Jug for hot and cold preparations, and one Vacuum Jug exclusively for cold food/drinks and vacuum blending.
  • Blades: High-Quality Stainless Steel Blades.
  • Control: Digital display with a control knob and "START/STOP" button.
  • Safety Features: Temperature monitoring system to prevent overheating (resets after 45 minutes unplugged), lid-in-place sensor (displays E1 error if not secured), non-slip feet.

Usage Features:

  • Ingredient Loading: Ingredients are added to the jug, which is then placed onto the base with the handle to the right of the motor. The lid must be firmly secured.
  • Program Selection: Programs are selected using the control knob. Hot programs illuminate white (counterclockwise), while cold programs illuminate blue (clockwise).
  • Vacuum Blend Process: For "Vacuum Blend," all ingredients and liquid are added to the vacuum jug, ensuring both lids are firmly sealed. After placing the jug on the base and plugging it in, the "VACUUM BLEND" button is pressed, followed by "START/STOP." The blender automatically removes air and then blends.
  • Pressure Release: After vacuum blending, the lid valve must be lifted to release pressure before opening the lid.
  • Food Preservation: The "VACUUM" button can be used to remove air from the vacuum jug to keep contents fresh in the refrigerator.
  • Filling Limits: Specific maximum filling limits and food-to-water ratios are provided for each program to ensure optimal performance and prevent issues like overflow or burning. For heating programs, the maximum water level is 1,200ml, and for cold programs, it's 1,750ml.
  • Ingredient Preparation: It is recommended to remove unwanted fruit and vegetable skins before placing them into the jug for cold programs. Seasonings like brown sugar should not be added while the machine is operating in hot programs to prevent sticking.
  • Safety during Operation: Do not open the lid during hot program operation due to potential steam and hot water spray. Avoid putting hands or sharp objects into the jug when connected to power.

Maintenance Features:

  • General Cleaning: For thick or oily ingredients, warm water and a few drops of detergent can be used with the "PULSE/CLEAN" button until the jug is clean. The jug and lid can also be rinsed directly under the tap.
  • Drying: The inner base of the jug should be dried with a kitchen towel, and the jug placed upright to dry, avoiding liquid contact with the underside of the drive shaft.
  • Removing Burn Marks: For burn marks on the glass jug's base, a 1:1 mixture of hot water and vinegar essence can be used with the "PULSE/CLEAN" function for 1 minute. Stubborn marks can be cleaned with a small piece of kitchen sponge (rough side).
  • Troubleshooting: The manual provides solutions for common issues such as the display not lighting up, the blender not starting, ingredients not crushing, food stains, and error messages (E1 for unsecured lid, E2 for burnt remains).
  • Warranty: A 2-year warranty is provided by Vitality 4 Life, the global distributor. Warranty registration is required online within 30 days of purchase. The warranty covers defects in factory workmanship or materials under normal domestic use but excludes damage from abuse, mishandling, unauthorized service, normal wear and tear, or shipping damage (which should be reported to the carrier).
