2 Getting Started
2.1 Hardware installation
2.1.1 Preparing the physical installation of BCSC-38U and BCSC-24U cabinets
Has the incoming electrical power been taken into account? (1)
Is the grounding system compatible with the recommendation (2)?
Has the power dissipation of the cabinet been taken into account?
Have the environmental specifications been taken in count? (Room tempera-
ture, room humidity, pollution degree, EMC environment...)
Has a safety emergency shut-down button been installed near the cabinet?
(should cut the 3 phases incoming (Power line) and the single phase incoming
(Uninterrupted Logic line))
Have the electrical connections cables been supplied?
(1): See 2.3.1 Electrical equipment requirements section.
(2): Compatible Earthing System:
Compatible
Earthing Sytem
with BCS-PDU.
* TN-C: Protective earth (T) and neutral (N) conductors are Combined.
**TN-S: Protective earth (T) and neutral (N) conductors are Separated.
If all the answers are YES then you can proceed with the installation.
2.1.2 Safety emergency shutdown installation
CAUTION !:
We strongly recommend to install an
emergency shutdown to cut both powers
incoming (Three phases (Power Line in-
coming) and Single phase (Logic Line in-
coming: that can come from an UPS - Un-
interruptible Power Supply -)
This Emergency shutdown should be in-
stalled in respect to national code near the
BCSC-24U or BCSC-38U cabinet and
clearly identified.
CAUTION !:
Make sure that the position where the cab-
inet is installed allows you to disconnect
easily the device.
