High VSWR or reflected power readings on your BIRD Measuring Instrument can stem from several issues: * A faulty load or poor connectors. christina60Aug 30, 2025
If your BIRD Measuring Instrument shows no meter indication, it could be due to several reasons: * Lack of RF power. Check the RF source. * The “Arrow” on the Plug-in element is pointing in the wrong direction. Reposition the element correctly. * No pick-up from the DC contact finger. Adjust it according to the Contact Adjustment paragraph. * An open or short circuit in the DC meter. Replace the defective cable (RG-58/U). * A burned-out or damaged meter. Replace the meter or return the wattmeter to the factory for meter replacement and recalibration.
