Why is there no spray through the hose & tool of my Bissell Vacuum Cleaner?

  If there is no spray through the hose and tool of your Bissell Vacuum Cleaner, it could be that the hose is not primed or has lost prime. To resolve this: 1. With the machine OFF and unplugged, remove the Nozzle from the foot. Place a ball- point pen in the black cylinder next to the screw. When water bubbles up, remove the pen. Reassemble the Nozzle and hose. 2. Hold the end of the hose below the water level in the tank to prime it. 3. With the Clean Water Tank full of water and the machine OFF and RECLINED, press the CleanShot button ON and wait for the CleanShot to drain for a few seconds; this will re-prime the machine. Also, ensure the Clean Water Tank is full and properly seated. Refill or reseat the tank as needed.

  If there's no spray through the CleanShot feature on your Bissell Vacuum Cleaner, start by checking if the Clean Water Tank is empty. Refill the tank if necessary. Also, ensure the Clean Water Tank is properly seated; turn the power OFF and reseat the tank. Make sure the machine is reclined by pressing the Recline Pedal and bringing the handle down. If the pump has lost its prime, turn the machine off and unplug it, then remove the nozzle from the foot. Place a ball-point pen in the black cylinder next to the screw until water bubbles up, then remove the pen and reassemble the nozzle.

  If water sprays from the Rinse & Storage Tray of your Bissell Vacuum Cleaner, the tray may be too full. Only fill the tray with water to the fill line indicated on the tray. When using the Water Rinse Cup, only fill it with fresh water to the “water line” printed on the cup. Also, ensure the machine is not in the reclined position. Turn the power OFF and shift the handle into the upright position before using the tray.

  If there is no spray through the hose and tool of your Bissell Vacuum Cleaner, the hose to your machine is not primed or may have lost prime. With the machine OFF and unplugged, remove the Nozzle from the Foot. Place a ballpoint pen in the black cylinder next to the screw. When water bubbles up, remove the pen. Next, check that the Clean Water Tank is seated properly; turn the power OFF, then remove and reseat the tank. Make sure the machine is reclined by pressing the Recline Pedal and bringing the handle down. If the pump may have lost prime, with the machine OFF and unplugged, remove the Nozzle from the Foot. Place a ballpoint pen in the black cylinder next to the screw. When water bubbles up, remove the pen. Reassemble the nozzle before cleaning again.

  If you experience reduced or no spray through the foot of your Bissell Vacuum Cleaner, the Clean Water Tank may be empty, so refill it. Also, the Clean Water Tank may not be seated completely; turn the power OFF, then remove and reseat the tank.
