Preparing for use
Caution - always use protective gloves when handling the chain.
Chain Oiling specification
You must dn this whenever you use a new chain tor the first time Viscosity - 49 C St at +50°C
Take the new chain out of its plastic bag and soak it in chain oil for Pour point - approx - 40°C
at least an hour before you use it NEVER USE
Use Black & Decker chain oil (1091 ) or any chain oil with this 9 waste oil • thick oil • very thin sewing-machine oil
These may seriously harm your machine
Assembly
1 Check that the chamsaw is
disconnected from the mains
Check that the clamp bar and clamp
plate are clean Put the clamp plate,
clamp nut, and spanner supplied on
the bench where you can reach them.
2.
Stand the chainsaw on its side like
this on a bench or table
Follow this procedure w ith your
new ch ains aw , and w hen you
re -a sse m b le the saw w ith a new
chain or after storage.
Fit the saw chain over the guide bar
making sure that the chain is the
right way round.
