Why won't the GPS lock on my Blade Quadcopter?
    • Z
      Zachary EllisAug 11, 2025
Several factors can prevent your GPS from locking. Heavy overcast or solar flares can interfere with the signal, so wait for clearer conditions or for the solar disturbance to subside. Ensure the aircraft is outdoors, as being indoors will block the signal. Obstructions blocking the sky's view can also be a problem, so move to a clear area. Finally, a nearby video transmitter or having the CGO1 camera on can interfere; try repositioning the transmitter or turning off the CGO1, allowing the GPS to acquire, and then repowering the CGO1.

What to do if GPS functions are not operating properly on Blade Quadcopter?
    • R
      Robin DennisAug 16, 2025
If your GPS functions aren't working as expected, several factors could be the cause. If the compass has been exposed to a magnet, move the aircraft away from the magnetic source; in severe cases, the compass might need replacement. A damaged GPS antenna coaxial cable can also cause issues, requiring the antenna to be replaced. If the aircraft is behaving erratically, try re-binding it with the GPS function turned off. Avoid aggressive flight, fly level for a few seconds before flipping into other modes.

What to do if GPS has reduced resolution on Blade Quadcopter?
    • M
      matthewwalkerAug 22, 2025
There are a couple of reasons why the GPS resolution might be reduced. If the U.S. government has raised the threat level, wait for it to be reduced, or disable GPS. Also, a nicked, cut, or damaged GPS antenna coaxial cable can cause this issue; if that's the case, replace the GPS antenna.

    • B
      Billy DavisAug 28, 2025
If the motors won't start in Smart Mode, it's likely because a GPS signal hasn't been acquired. Make sure the quadcopter has a GPS signal before attempting to start the motors.
