First, ensure the cuff is correctly positioned by reviewing the instructions on Securing the Cuff and retrying the measurement. Also, movement during measurement can cause this issue. Place your arm on a table, palm facing up, with the cuff at heart level. Stay still and avoid talking during the measurement.

  To form a loop: pass the end of the cuff furthest away from the tubing through the long metal D-ring. The smooth side (without the hook and loop fasteners) should be on the inside of the cuff loop.
