4.13 Cleaning, checking the
spark plug


Wear your protective outfit (gloves) if the en-
gine is hot

● Pull spark plug socket 1 (Fig. 35) off and un-
screw spark plug (2).

● Clean the spark plug (Fig. 36).
● Check the electrode gap with a feeler gauge.
● Adjust the gap to a measurement of 0,7 to
0,8 mm.

Note
In case of excessive combustion residuals or
burned off electrodes replace the spark plug, en-
sure correct heat value of the spark plug.
