Pictograms linked with the key words Danger, Warning
and Caution are warnings and always indicate an imme-
diate or potential hazard to the user.
Danger!
Immediate danger that could cause serious
personal injury or death.
Warning!
Potentially dangerous situation that could
cause serious personal injury or death.
Caution!
Potentially dangerous situation that could
cause personal injury or damage to property.
Important ! – warns of a potentially hazardous situa-
tion in which the BEA 460, the test sample or other
object in the vicinity could be damaged.
In addition to these warnings, the following symbols are
also used:

Single-step procedure ¶ – instructions for a procedure
that can be completed in just one step.
Intermediate result ? – an intermediate r esult is

Disposal
Old electrical and electronic devices, including
cables and accessories or batteries must be
disposed of separate to household waste.

The pertinent safety instructions for each product must
always be heeded. All safety instructions can be found

Danger - electric shock!
Inexpert working on open, live devices can
lead to electric shocks, heart failure and even
death.
Work on open, live devices is only perfor- ¶
med by authorized and qualified service
engineers.
Observe the electrical engineering safety ¶
regulations (e. g. BGV A3 in Germany).
Prior to start-up, perform safety checks in ¶
accordance with national legislation (e. g.
VDE 0701/0702 in Germany).
Keep all appropriate land regulations. ¶
Caution - Destruction of electrotechnical
units!
During inappropriate handling of printed
cicuit boards, electrostatically endangered
construction units can be damaged.
Heed the handling instructions relating to ¶
ESD.
The handling instructions relating to ESD can be i
found in EDIS.

The service work is only to be performed by quali-
fied and trained Service personnel from Robert Bosch
GmbH or organizations commissioned by Robert
Bosch GmbH. No warranty claims will be accepted if
devices have been opened or modified by non-author-
ized persons.
