3.6 Other functions
3.6.1 Setting the swing function
Because cold air flows downwards and hot air flows upwards, you can
improve the cooling and heating effect as well as the air distribution by
adjusting the air flow direction on the upper air outlet grille.
Notice on air flow direction:
▶ Choose the vertical outlet for heating mode. The indoor temperature
will not be uniform in heating mode when the air-out direction is
horizontal.
▶ Choose the horizontal outlet mode for cooling.
To achieve an optimum cooling or heating effect, the air outlet direction
can be manually adjusted horizontally or vertically at the touch of a
button.
▶ Keep the Swing button pressed until the air outlet grille is in the
desired position.
When cooling
▶ Set the air outlet grille downwards (horizontal) ( Figure 2).
When heating
▶ Set the air outlet grille horizontal ( Figure 3).
NOTICE
▶ Do not adjust the upper air outlet grille by hand as this may cause
malfunctions and condensation to form on the air outlets.
Adjusting the lower air outlet grille
To fulfil the ambient temperature conditions, the lower air outlet grille
can be opened when the unit is switched on.
▶ Operate the appliance.
▶ Remove the cover of the electronics ( Figure 4, [1]).
▶ Press button [2] for 5 seconds within 10 minutes after switching on,
in order to change to standby mode.
