Battery Replacement
If the batteries are flat, the smoke detector will indicate this
with a short beep every 48 seconds and the red LED will also
flash three times every 48 seconds. Replace the batteries as
follows.
Caution!
Do not use 1.2 V batteries.
1. Remove the used batteries from the battery compartments
on the back of the detector head.
2. Insert three new LR6 batteries (mignon/AA) in the battery
compartments, observing the polarity shown.
Notice!
Once the batteries have been inserted, the red LED flashes ev-
ery 48 seconds, which signals that the device is ready for opera-
tion.
