13.2 Clean the device
WARNING
Electric shock hazard!
Penetrating moisture can cause an
electric shock.
Do not use a steam cleaner or
high-pressure cleaner to clean the
device.
Liquid in lights, controls, or internal
vents can be dangerous.
The flushing water must not get
into the lighting, the controls or the
internal ventilation openings.
12.1 Defrosting in the freezer compartment
The fully automatic NoFrost system
keeps the freezer compartment frost-
free. Defrosting is not necessary.
13 Cleaning and care
To ensure that your device remains
functional for a long time, clean and care for
it carefully.
Inaccessible areas must be cleaned by
customer service. Customer service
cleaning may incur costs.
DANGER!
Unsuitable cleaning agents can
damage the surfaces of the device.
Do not use hard scouring pads or
cleaning sponges.
Do not use harsh or abrasive
cleaning agents.
Do not use cleaning agents with a
strong alcohol content.
If you clean equipment parts and
accessories in the dishwasher, they
can become deformed or discolored.
Never clean equipment and
accessories in the dishwasher.
13.1 Prepare the device for
cleaning
1.Turn off the device.

2.Disconnect the device from the mains.
Pull out the mains plug of the
mains connection line or switch off
the fuse in the fuse box.
3.Remove all food and store in a cool
place.
If available, place cold packs on
the food.

4.Remove all equipment and
accessories from the unit.

2.Clean the appliance, the equipment,
the accessories and the door seals
with a dishcloth, lukewarm water
and a little pH‑neutral washing-up
liquid.
5.Remove the door rack rail.

3.Dry thoroughly with a soft, dry
cloth.
4.Insert the equipment parts and
install the device parts.
5.Connect the device electrically.
