4. Leave the laundry to soak for as long
as required, then either press the A
button again to resume the program
or change the program.
Note: No additional detergent is
required as the water used for
soaking will be reused for washing.

You can select "Rinse Stop" to prevent
creasing if the laundry will not be taken
out of the washing machine immediately

The optimum quantities of liquid
detergent and fabric softener are
dispensed automatically.
You can press ý i-DOS w/þ i-
DOS M/w to activate or deactivate
automatic dosing and set the basic
dosages.

1. Connect the mains plug.
2. Turn on the water tap.
3. Open the door.
4. Check that the drum is completely
drained. Drain if necessary.
Switching on the appliance/
selecting a programme
Press the # button. The appliance is
switched on.
The Cottons programme set at the
factory is then always displayed.
The current settings and programme
information light up at full brightness
and the display A flashes.
The settings that can be selected light
up at half brightness.
Notes
■ Temporary flashing of the displayÛ
informs you to run the programme
Drum Clean or any other
programme soon at a washing
temperature of at least 60 °C.
■ If the E 3s display flashes, the
childproof lock is active.
You must deactivate this first before
you can change settings or start the
