6.2.4 Fan units
General
MSK motors can optionally be operated with fan units. Observe the safety in‐
structions:
Connect the fan unit according to the connection voltage on the rating plate.
Establish a safe protective conductor connection.
Do only use suitable installation material.
DOK-MOTOR*-MSK********-PR··-··-P, "Synchronous Servomotors MSK".
For motors with axial fan unit
For motors with axial fan unit, the device plug for the encoder connection is
covered by the fan guard.
Unscrew the cover plate from the fan housing to connect the encoder con‐
nector.
Mount the cover plate again after connection (contact protection).

LEM fan units in design "T" with integrated thermal protection. Fan units "T"
do not need a circuit with external motor protection.
The supplied cable gland is used for cable diameter 7 ... 10 mm.
