8 Commissioning
Prerequisite for commissioning is the proper installation and function
of the entire mechanics of the welding equipment
of all Emergency-Stop/Emergency-Halt devices and Current operated earth
leakage circuit breaker (if available)
of the electrical connection including all required sensors
of the compressed air supply and cooling units (if available).
Make sure that the above mentioned prerequisites for commissioning are met.
8.1 Switching on
Please take into account the following points when you switch the equipment on:
1. Check the contact protective covers
2. Keep door closed during operation
3. Take into account the functionality of the timer (refer to type-specific timer
instructions)
4. Check mains voltage tolerance range (refer to type-specific technical data or
circuit diagram)
8.2 Switching off
Turn the power supply (mains) off.
The red DC LINK VOLTAGE LED at the front panel of the timer is
extinguished .
The bridge rectifiers are inhibited and the DC link voltage is slowly
discharged.
The green LOGIC LED continues to be lit green in the case of
external 24 V supply .
WARNING
Dangerous electrical voltage
Possibility of cardiac arrhythmia, burns, shock!
Make sure that unauthorized persons do not work on/in the switch
cabinet.
During commissioning, medium-frequency inverters and other live
plant components are accessible at the open switch cabinet! This
reduces the safety of persons and the plant!
