  If your Bose amplifier's volume suddenly decreases, first lower the volume setting to see if it returns to normal. If not, disconnect the amplifier from AC (mains) power and allow it to cool. Increase ventilation around the amplifier and then reconnect it to the power. If the volume returns to normal, the decrease was due to the amplifier's thermal overload protection. Improving ventilation should prevent this from happening again.

  If the right and left stereo channels are heard on the wrong speakers, ensure that the cable connected to the SPEAKER OUTPUTS L at the amplifier is connected to the speaker on the left in your listening area, and the cable connected to the SPEAKER OUTPUTS R at the amplifier is connected to the speaker on the right in your listening area.
