The BOSS AUDIO SYSTEMS ATV6.5B is an amplified all-terrain sound system designed for ATVs and UTVs, featuring Bluetooth connectivity, 6.5" marine speakers, and 1" waterproof tweeters. This product allows users to stream audio wirelessly from mobile devices or play music from external devices via a 3.5 mm AUX input jack. It is built to be shockproof and water-resistant, operating on a 12 VDC vehicle power supply.
Function Description:
The ATV6.5B serves as a robust audio solution for off-road vehicles. Its primary function is to provide high-quality sound through its integrated speakers and tweeters, driven by a Class D amplifier. Bluetooth 5.0 / EDR technology enables wireless audio streaming, supporting the A2DP profile for stereo audio transmission. For devices without Bluetooth, a 3.5 mm AUX input is available. The system is designed for easy installation on vehicle rails or roll bars using supplied mounting straps and zip ties. Power can be supplied directly from a 12V power port or, if unavailable, through a power port plug adapter connected to the vehicle's battery.

Usage Features:
Mounting:
The sound system can be securely mounted on ATV or UTV rails/roll bars using the provided mounting straps and zip ties. No special tools are required for installation. Users are advised to check mounting conditions before each ride to ensure security.
Power Connection:
- Option 1: Using a 12V Power Port: Directly plug the 12V power port plug (with a 10A fuse) of the sound system into the vehicle's power port. The power LED indicator illuminates upon connection. To prevent battery drain, it's recommended to unplug the system after use if the power port isn't switched off with the ignition key.
- Option 2: Using a Power Port Plug Adapter (for vehicles without a 12V power port):
- Disconnect the negative terminal of the vehicle battery to prevent short circuits.
- Connect the black/ground wire of the adapter to the vehicle's metal frame or negative battery terminal. Ensure the metal surface is clean.
- Connect the red wire of the adapter to the positive battery terminal. For battery connection, 12-14 gauge extension wires are recommended, along with a 15A in-line fuse (not included) and an on/off switch (not included).
- Insert the sound system's power port plug into the adapter. The power LED will illuminate.
- Option 3: Direct Connection to Vehicle Battery:
- Remove the plug from the supplied power port plug cable.
- Connect the power port plug's negative wire to the vehicle's metal frame or negative battery terminal, and the positive wire to the positive battery terminal.
- A 15A fuse (not included) and an on/off switch (not included) must be installed in line with the positive power wire to prevent electrical damage.
- Fasten the ground wire to a clean metal surface.
To avoid battery drain, disconnect the system or use the inline on/off switch when not in use.
Bluetooth Connectivity:
- Ensure no AUX cable is connected and the system is powered on. The power LED will illuminate, and the system will enter pairing mode.
- Enable Bluetooth on your mobile device (iOS or Android) and select "Boss Audio ATV6.5B" from the available devices. If prompted, enter "0000" as the password.
- A confirmation tone indicates successful pairing. Play audio on your mobile device, and it will stream to the sound system. Volume is controlled via the connected device.
- The system automatically reconnects to a previously paired device when both are turned on. To connect a second device, disconnect the current Bluetooth connection and manually pair the new device.
- For optimal audio performance, set the connected device's volume to at least 75%.
- Operating the system consumes vehicle battery; run the engine to avoid exhaustion.
- Obstacles can reduce operational range. If the device goes out of range, it will disconnect and automatically reconnect when back in range. If disconnected for over three minutes, manual reconnection is required.
- Connect the supplied 3.5 mm AUX cable from the sound system's AUX input jack to the headphone jack of your external audio device (e.g., MP3 player, mobile phone).
- Connecting the AUX cable automatically disconnects any active Bluetooth connection.
- Play audio files on your device; sound will play through the ATV6.5B. Use the connected device's controls for playback and volume adjustment.
- To resume Bluetooth, disconnect the AUX cable.
- Set the connected device's volume to at least 75% for best audio performance.
- Run the vehicle engine to prevent battery exhaustion during operation.
Maintenance Features:
Fuse Replacement:
If the power LED on the power port plug does not illuminate, the internal 10A AGC fuse (glass cartridge type) may be blown.
- Locate and turn the screw cap on the front end of the power port plug counterclockwise to access the fuse.
- Replace the blown fuse with a new 10A AGC fuse (not included).
- Reassemble the power port plug, ensuring the contact head protrudes correctly.
