The ZKAS 3.0 t retrofit kit can also be used for longitudinal
screw connection of 50 or 54 mm (1) + (2).
Place the housing of the ball hitch onto the towing bar, align
according to the hole pattern and screw together using the
following fastening elements.
} Note:
The tightening torque for hexagon screws
M12/M14 – 10.9 is 90 Nm.
} Attention:
Self-locking nuts may only be used one time.
3. 2. Assembly as replacement
If the ZKAS ball hitch is used as replacement for another cou-
pling type, in overrun hitches, care has to be taken that the
shock absorber is properly reinstalled and the distance tubes
supplied with accessories are correctly threaded.
The mechanical connecting assembly has to be mounted on
the vehicle according to the requirements of Annex VII of the
directive ECE/R55-01.
