Why is the water temperature fluctuating on my Bradley Control Unit?
    • J
      Justin AllenAug 4, 2025
If you're experiencing temperature fluctuations or improper temperature with your Bradley Control Unit, several factors could be the cause. The stop and check sections of the valve may not be moving freely, or the thermostat could be slowly failing. Clean the stop and check valves, or check/replace the thermostat. Another cause may be that the inlet supply line to the mixing valve is being shared by other equipment, reducing the inlet pressure. In this case, enlarge the supply line size, reconfigure the supply line, or regulate the supply usage. Also, the recirculation may not be balanced. Finally, the piston may not move freely and must be cleaned.

What to do if my Bradley Control Unit has limited water flow?
    • E
      Edward RodriguezAug 12, 2025
If you're experiencing limited water flow from your Bradley Control Unit, it could be due to a couple of reasons. The inlet shut-off valve may be partially closed, or there could be a significant decrease in water pressure. Also, dirt and debris may have collected on the check screen or seat, limiting the movement of the stop and checks. To resolve this, remove the stop and checks, clean the screen and seat, and reassemble the valve. The components may be scraped with a screwdriver to remove debris, and tweezers can be used to pull debris out from the seat. If the stop and checks need replacement, contact your Bradley representative and ask for Check/Stop Kit (S65-179).

How to fix no hot water flow in Bradley S19-2200 Control Unit?
    • J
      Jennifer MendozaAug 18, 2025
If your Bradley Control Unit is only dispensing cold water, it's likely that the thermostat has failed, which has subsequently engaged the safety shut-off. To check this, remove the top cap and pull out the push rod and thermostat. Insert a 7/16" dia. rod into the thermostat bellows. Mark the length of the thermostat bellows (at room temperature, with 10 lb. of force, the bellows length should be approx. 2-5/8\"). If the thermostat bellows length is not in the proper range, the thermostat must be replaced (it cannot be repaired). Contact your Bradley representative and ask for Thermostat Kit (S65-178).

How to stop external leaks in Bradley S19-2200 Control Unit system?
    • O
      Omar JonesAug 26, 2025
If you notice external leaks in your Bradley Control Unit system, it's likely that either the NPT joints or the o-rings have been damaged. Replace the NPT joints and/or o-rings where necessary. For replacement of o-rings, contact your Bradley representative and ask for O-Ring Seal Kit (S65-177).
