  The closure of your Braun Iron might be difficult to unscrew because lime scale has made the closure difficult to open or because the boiler is still under pressure. Apply more force to loosen the boiler closure. To avoid this issue, regularly descale the boiler. Never attempt to open the closure if the boiler is still hot or under pressure; wait at least 2.5 hours before attempting to open it.

  If you notice water drops from the holes in the bottom of the soleplate of your Braun Iron, it's likely due to water condensation inside the tubes. This usually happens when steam is used for the first time or after a long period of inactivity. To resolve this, press the steam button several times away from the ironing board to eliminate any cold water from the steam circuit.

  If the steam setting icon is permanently on but there is no steam emission from the soleplate of your Braun Iron, the water tank float may be locked, or the water tank is not correctly inserted. To fix this, turn off and unplug the appliance. Remove and empty the water tank, rinse it out, and refill it. Reinsert the water tank and wait until the appliance has cooled down for at least 2.5 hours, then try again. If the problem persists, contact an authorized Braun Customer Service.

  If steam or water is coming out from the closure of your Braun Iron, the closure is likely not tightened properly. Switch off the appliance, unplug it, and let it cool down for at least 2.5 hours. Unscrew the closure and screw it back on properly. Note that some water can escape when you unscrew the closure.

  It is normal for the double cord of your Braun Iron to get hot during use. This occurs because steam passes through the cord during ironing. Place the double cord on the opposite side so that you cannot touch it during ironing.

  If you notice smoke or a smell the first time you turn on your Braun Iron, it's normal. Some parts have been treated with sealer/lubricant which evaporates the first time the iron heats up. This should stop after you've used the iron a few times. If the smoke/smell persists after turning off the appliance, contact an authorized Braun Customer Service.
