FILLING THE TANKS
Water Tank:Fillthewatertankwithcoldtapwateronly.Youcanllthewatertankusingajugorremoveit
andllitunderthetap.NeverllitabovetheMAXmark.Closethelidafterllingandplacethetanktightly
back in its place.
Milk Tank:IfyouaremakingCappuccinoorLatteyouwillneedtollthemilktank.Pullthetankoutofthe
unit(g.G).Thetankisatighttandmayneedastrongpull.Pourmilkintothetankwithoutexceedingthe
MAXmark.It’sbesttoaddonlyasmuchmilkasyouthinkyou’llneed.Alwaysusechilledmilkasthiswill
create the best froth.
Retthetankpushingitrmlyintoplace.Themilktankisatighttandyouwillhavetoholdthemainunitin
ordertoapplysufcentforcetopushitallthewayin.TheCappuccino button and Latte button lights will
only come onwhenthemilktankiscorrectlytted.
Youcanstoreunusedmilkdirectlyinthemilktankbyremovingitandputtingitintherefrigerator.
Alternatively, dispose of any unused milk and clean the tank after use.

Espresso(ESE)pods.Thedoubleshotltercanbeusedforadoubleshotorfortwosingleshots.Thepod
lterisdesignedtobeusedonlywith45mmpods.
Fitthelterbyliningupthedimplemouldedontheedgeofthelterwiththeslotinthelterholder(g.H).
Rotatethelterslightlytotheleftorrighttostopthelterfromfallingout(g.I).
Toremovethelter,rotatetheltertorealignthedimplewiththenotchthenliftthelterout.
Filling the lter holder
Makesurethatthelterandlterholderarecompletelydry.Fillthelterwithfreshgroundcoffeeusingthe
measuringscoop(g.J).Useasinglescoopforasingleshotortwoscoopsforadoubleshot.Usetheat
endofthescooptotamp(compress)thecoffeermlyandevenly(g.K).Thecoffeeshouldbeapproximately
3mmbelowtherimofthelterwhencorrectlytamped(g.L).
Cleananyexcesscoffeefromtherimofthelterholdersothatitwillsealproperlywhenthelterholderis
ttedtothebrewinghead.
IfyouareusingESEpods,placethepodintothepodlterholder.Ifthepodhasataborap,folditinside
theltersoitdoesn’tstickout.

Positionthelterholderunderthebrewingheadwiththehandlelinedupwiththeunlockedsymbol( ) on
theunit(g.M).
