How to fix detergent not mixing with spray in my Briggs & Stratton Pressure Washer?
    • B
      Brianna TrevinoJul 30, 2025
If detergent fails to mix with the spray from your Briggs & Stratton Pressure Washer, first ensure that the detergent siphoning tube is fully submerged in the detergent. Check the chemical filter for clogs or cracks; clean or replace the filter/detergent siphoning tube if necessary. Also, make sure the nozzle is in low pressure mode by pushing it forward.

Why is my Briggs & Stratton 020238-0 not producing pressure?
    • S
      srichAug 9, 2025
If your Briggs & Stratton Pressure Washer fails to produce pressure, first ensure the nozzle isn't in low pressure mode; pull it backward for high pressure. Check for blockages in the water inlet and clear them. Ensure an adequate water supply and that the inlet hose isn't kinked or leaking; straighten the hose or patch any leaks. Also, inspect and clean the inlet hose strainer if clogged. Make sure the water supply isn't over 100°F, and clear any blockages in the high-pressure hose. If the gun leaks, it should be replaced. Obstructions in the orifice should be cleaned. If none of these steps work, it may indicate a faulty pump, and you should contact a local service facility.

Why does my Briggs & Stratton 020238-0 engine bog down when I add load?
    • L
      Larry KingAug 18, 2025
If the engine of your Briggs & Stratton Pressure Washer runs well without a load but bogs down when a load is added, the engine speed may be too slow. Try moving the throttle control to the FAST position. If the engine continues to bog down, contact a Briggs and Stratton service facility.
