Why Briggs & Stratton Elite 020251 Pressure Washer pump has no pressure?
    • E
      Eric FryJul 31, 2025
Several factors can cause pressure issues in your Briggs & Stratton pressure washer pump. It might be due to a low-pressure nozzle being installed—try replacing it with a high-pressure nozzle. Other potential causes include a blocked water inlet (clear it), an inadequate water supply (ensure sufficient flow), a kinked or leaking inlet hose (straighten or patch it), a clogged inlet hose strainer (check and clean it), or a water supply that's too hot (use cooler water). A blocked or leaking high-pressure hose (clear any blockages), a leaking gun (replace it), or an obstructed nozzle (clean it) could also be the culprit. If none of these resolve the issue, the pump itself may be faulty.

How to fix Briggs & Stratton Pressure Washer not mixing detergent?
    • J
      jennifermirandaAug 9, 2025
If the detergent is not mixing with the spray in your Briggs & Stratton pressure washer, there are a few things you can check. First, make sure the chemical shut-off valves are in the "On" position for the desired chemical reservoir. Also, a high-pressure nozzle can prevent proper mixing, so replace it with a low-pressure nozzle. Finally, a dirty in-line filter can cause problems; you should check it.

What to do if Briggs & Stratton Elite 020251 engine bogs down under load?
    • J
      Janet RyanAug 18, 2025
If your Briggs & Stratton pressure washer engine runs well without a load but bogs down when you add one, the engine speed may be too slow. Try moving the throttle control to the FAST position. If the engine continues to bog down, contact a Briggs & Stratton service facility.
