Why is my Briggs & Stratton 020680 Pressure Washer pump not producing pressure?
    • J
      Justin BartonAug 11, 2025
There are several reasons why your Briggs & Stratton Pressure Washer pump might not be producing pressure. It could be due to a blocked water inlet (clear it), inadequate water supply (provide adequate flow), a kinked or leaking garden hose (straighten or replace it), a clogged water inlet screen (check and clean it), a water supply that's too hot (use cooler water), a blocked or leaking high-pressure hose (clear or replace), or an obstructed spray tip (clean it).

If your Briggs & Stratton Pressure Washer fails to start when you squeeze the spray gun trigger, try the following: ensure the water supply is turned on; make sure the unit is switched on using the master ON/OFF switch; verify you're using a garden hose no longer than 50 ft. (15.24 m); check the fuse box for a blown fuse and replace it, or reset the circuit breaker (do not use a fuse or circuit breaker with a higher rating); disconnect other electrical appliances and turn off lights in the circuit or operate the pressure washer on its own dedicated circuit; run pressure washer with any spray tip for 5 minutes (motor break in may be necessary).

Why is my Briggs & Stratton Pressure Washer hose connections leaking?
    • K
      Kari RamirezAug 26, 2025
If you're experiencing leaks in your Briggs & Stratton Pressure Washer's hose connections, the garden hose may be loose at the water inlet (hand tighten it), the high-pressure hose connections might be loose (remove and reinstall hand tight), or the o-ring could be damaged (replace the o-ring).

How to fix detergent not mixing with spray in my Briggs & Stratton 020680 Pressure Washer?
    • K
      Katrina FarmerSep 2, 2025
If the detergent is not mixing with the spray in your Briggs & Stratton Pressure Washer, make sure you have the black detergent spray tip installed. Also, the inlet water supply pressure might be too high; try slowly closing the water supply valve until the chemical just starts to draw (soap suds will appear when chemical starts to draw).
