Why Briggs & Stratton Pressure Washer unit fails to start when spray gun trigger is squeezed?
    • B
      Bryan RoseAug 5, 2025
If your Briggs & Stratton Pressure Washer doesn't start when you squeeze the spray gun trigger, there are several possible reasons: 1. The water supply might not be turned on. Ensure that the water supply is on. 2. The unit might not be turned on. Make sure the master ON/OFF switch is in the ON (I) position and reset the PRCD. 3. The garden hose might be too long. Use only a 15.24 m (50 ft.) maximum garden hose. 4. A fuse might be blown or a circuit breaker tripped. Replace the fuse or reset the circuit breaker. Also, try disconnecting other electrical appliances and turning off lights in the circuit, or operate the pressure washer on a dedicated circuit. Run it for 5 minutes with the turbo spray tip.

If you're experiencing leaks at the hose connections of your Briggs & Stratton Pressure Washer, here are a few things to check: * The garden hose might be loosely connected to the water inlet. Hand-tighten the garden hose. * The high-pressure hose connections could be loose. Remove the hose and reinstall it. * A damaged o-ring may be the culprit. Replace the o-ring.
