What to do if my Briggs & Stratton POWERflow+ TECHNOLOGY Pressure Washer won't start when I squeeze the trigger?
    • M
      mallenJul 31, 2025
If your Briggs & Stratton Pressure Washer fails to start when you squeeze the spray gun trigger, there are several possible causes: 1. Ensure the water supply is turned on. 2. Make sure the unit is switched on by pressing the master ON/OFF switch to the ON (I) position. 3. Verify that you are using a garden hose no longer than 50 ft. (15.24 m). 4. Check the fuse box for a blown fuse and replace it if necessary, or reset the circuit breaker. Do not use a fuse or circuit breaker with a higher rating than specified. Try disconnecting other electrical appliances, turning off lights in the circuit, or operating the pressure washer on its own dedicated circuit. Running the pressure washer in any POWERflow+ nozzle setting for 5 minutes may also help; motor break-in may be necessary.

Why is my Briggs & Stratton Pressure Washer pump not producing pressure?
    • J
      jaime25Aug 10, 2025
If your Briggs & Stratton Pressure Washer pump has issues like failure to produce pressure, erratic pressure, chattering, loss of pressure, or low water volume, consider the following: 1. Check for and clear any blockages in the water inlet. 2. Ensure an adequate water supply. 3. Straighten any kinks in the garden hose, or replace it if it's leaking. 4. Inspect and clean the water inlet screen. 5. Make sure the water supply is not over 100°F (38°C); use a cooler water supply. 6. Clear any blockages in the high-pressure hose, replace the hose if it's leaking, or uncoil it from the hose reel. 7. Clean the nozzle. 8. If the pump is faulty, contact a Briggs & Stratton service facility.
