NOTE:
Make all adjustments with the presser foot in
lowered position.
Equal tensioning (same stitches on top and
underneath) of top thread and underthread is
normally only required for straight stitching.
Zigzag stitch and decorative stitch
For zigzag stitch and decorative stitch the thread
tension should be less than for straight stitch.
The stitches look better and there is less risk of
the fabric gathering if the top thread can barely
be seen on the underside.

Tension of the underthread
The tension of the underthread is set at the
factory and does not need to be adjusted.

NOTE:
Make sure that the needle is lifted o the
fabric before the setting is changed, otherwise
the needle and/or the fabric can be damaged.
COVER PLATE FOR FEEDER
Use the cover plate for the feeder when the
fabric is not fed automatically, for example for
button stitch, freehand darning and freehand
sewing. Bring up the needle and presser foot
and put the cover plate on the stitch plate with
the two pins at the back aligned in the holes in
the stitch plate.

REVERSING CONTROL
The product sews backwards when the
reversing control is pressed.

1. Bring up the presser foot and stretch out
the threads backwards.
2. Bring down the presser foot. Press down
the pedal.
3. Carefully guide the fabric while it is fed
automatically.

4. To fasten the end of the seam, press the
reversing control and sew a few stitches
backwards.
5. Bring up the presser foot and remove the
fabric, drawing the threads to the back.
6. If the fabric cannot be removed, turn
the hand wheel towards the front of the
