NOTE:
The stitch length setting can also be used to
adjust. The stitch length setting controls how
far the needle moves and therefore how wide
the seam is.
NOTE:
Blind stitching requires practice. Always
practice sewing rst.
Sewing buttonholes

Stitch selection dial
Top thread tension: 1 to 5
Presser foot for buttonhole

Try making a buttonhole in a spare piece of the
fabric.
Put the button on the fabric and mark the
edges to decide how long the buttonhole is
to be.
1. Set the stitch selection dial to d and pull
both threads to the left.
2. Bring down the needle in the fabric where
the buttonhole is to begin and bring down
the presser foot.

3. Sew along the right side of the buttonhole
and stop at the bottom marking.
4. Stop sewing when the needle is in the
right edge of a stitch and bring up the
needle from the fabric.

5. Set the stitch selection dial to c and sew a
loop of 5 or 6 stitches.
6. Stop sewing when the needle is in the left
edge of a stitch and bring up the needle
from the fabric.

7. Set the stitch selection dial to b and sew
along the left edge of the buttonhole to
the end of the right seam.
8. Stop sewing when the needle is in the left
edge of a stitch and bring up the needle
from the fabric.

9. Set the stitch selection dial to c and sew
a loop of 5 or 6 stitches, stop sewing and
bring up the needle from the fabric.

10. Remove the fabric from the product and
cut the threads.
11. Stick a needle through the loop.
12. Cut up the buttonhole with a buttonhole
blade.
13. Make sure not to damage the stitches.

Pull out the plug before cleaning and/or
maintenance.
Keep the product clean for best functionality
and life span.
1. Bring up the needle to its highest
position.

2. Remove the 2 screws holding the stitch
plate (1) and pull the stitch plate to the
front of the product, as shown in the gure.

3. Remove the bobbin capsule (2).
