What to do if Brother Software shows 'UNKNOWN LANGUAGE'?

  If the Brother software displays 'UNKNOWN LANGUAGE', it's likely because fax data was sent without the External Fax Modem being selected. To resolve this, power cycle your printer (turn it off and then on again). After restarting, access the printer's control panel and set ‘FAX MODEM=ON’.
