Changing the Ink Tubes
1. Make sure the GT-3 is not in the middle of any operation.
2. Select head replacement from the maintenance menu, and choose the color tube to
be replaced and press okay.
3. Remove the cartridge of the target color, and press the okay button.
4. Insert the filter cartridge to the ink cartridge slot, and then press the okay button (the
ink draining begins).Wait until the message “Turn off & please change head”
appears.
5. Turn off the GT-3.
6. Remove the back cover (6 screws) & ink bay cover (3 screws).
7. Begin to remove the brackets that hold the tubes together including the tube
connector (taking note of placement on each). Keep ready 2 tube caps to seal the
end of the tubes.

Changing the Ink Tubes

Initial Setup and Maintenance Selection

Select head replacement from the maintenance menu to begin the ink tube replacement process.

After tube removal, detach spiral, middle tube holders, middle tubes, and the tube clamp.

New Tube Preparation

Mark the new tube according to the provided tube diagram; the new tube will include a coupling.

Ink Tube Reinstallation and Testing

Reattaching Components and Tube Installation

Reattach parts from step 9, then install the new tube from the print head side, ending with the needle.

Carriage Movement Check

Manually move the carriage to ensure the tube has no binds or kinks.

Initial Cleaning Mode Execution

Press the Up/Down buttons to select 'initial' cleaning mode and press OK.

Color Selection for Cleaning

Select the color of the replaced tube using the Up/Down buttons and press OK.

Post-Cleaning Operations

Perform a nozzle check and necessary cleanings (normal or powerful) after initial cleaning.
