Switch on the printer and insert a USB stick
Go to the menu: Maintenance > Log copy to USB >
Depending on the length of time you intend on not using the printer will determine which
run down procedure to follow:
NEVER turn the printer OFF, otherwise, the printer may be damaged.
Clean the Nozzle Guard, Wiper Blade and Exhaust Cap
Empty the waste ink in the Waste Ink tank
Check the amount of Cleaning Solution in the Cleaning Solution tank is lled to
the maximum level
Agitate the white ink if a white ink cartridge stirring message is displayed on the
operation panel screen
Print out a Nozzle Check pattern
Clean the Nozzle Guard, Wiper Blade and Exhaust Cap
Empty the waste ink in the waste ink tank
Check that the amount of Cleaning Solution in the Cleaning Solution tank is lled to the
maximum level
From the menu, select [Maintenance] > [White Ink Pause Mode] > [Enable] Then Press
Remove the White ink cartridges and replace both White Ink Pouches with Maintenance
Pouches [GCX-4S70]. Insert the White Ink Cartridges back into the printer. Then Press
Note: When you need to print with white ink again, you will need to Disable White Ink Pause Mode
Empty the waste ink in the waste ink tank
From the menu, select [Maintenance] > [White Ink Pause Mode] > [Disable]. Then Press
Remove the White ink cartridges and replace both Maintenance Pouches with brand new White
Ink Pouches. Insert the White Ink Cartridges back into the printer. Then Press
UP TO 2 WEEKS
FOR MORE THAN 2 WEEKS (Use White ink Pause mode)
WHEN YOU'RE NOT USING THE PRINTER FOR A LONG PERIOD OF TIME
INK & SOLUTIONS STORAGE
HOW TO EXTRACT A LOG FILE FROM THE PRINTER
CMYK & White inks, Cleaning Solution, Maintenance Solution &
Pre-Treatment Solution should be stored at a temperature range
between 0° and 40°.
Do not store consumables outside this temperature range
